Changes…did you notice?

Changes…did you notice?

So…after some researching I discovered my blog name, “A Heart Full”, was already taken not once, but several times over. In all honesty, it was kind of a common name and I should have known better. Although I love to write, I am not very good at naming things. So in the name of simplicity, I am keeping it short, sweet and unique. Welcome to my newly named blog, Raising The Reeps! It is only a name change, and better fitting as far as what I am writing about here. I am also going to begin a vlog!  It will also be called “Raising The Reeps.” YouTube is a great way to help promote an at-home business. As a new Beachbody coach and blogger, I want to spread my wings! I cannot say I am not nervous about it, but without trying I will never know my full potential!

Holy Week was quite eventful at our home. We were all struck down with a horribly unrelenting virus that still lingers today. I have four sick children at home. Only two were well enough for school today. I was sick on Easter Sunday, and could not function enough to participate in the wonderful activities we had planned. The children still dyed their eggs, but it was sheer willpower that got us through.

I sincerely hope your Easter was a glorious one. I am rejoicing in this beautiful new season He has given us. The readings for today especially touched my heart:

Psalm 105

Give praise to the Lord,proclaim his name;
    make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him;
    tell of all his wonderful acts.
Glory in his holy name;
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Look to the Lord and his strength;

    seek his face always.

Isn’t this beautiful? Even in sickness and other times of turmoil in my life, there will always be a bible verse that can turn my day around. His strength sustains me, always.

I want to thank you, readers, for sticking with me through these changes. Your support means so much to me. What do you think of the name change? Yay or nay?

A Bittersweet Spring

A Bittersweet Spring

It was a lovely but slightly stressed spring break at the Reep household. Although it passed quickly, the days were mostly sunny and we played outside everyday.

{Georgia joined me for a run. She loves it and sometimes falls asleep.}

   {Ranger and his ladybug. He played with her the whole time we were at the park. Oh and we are getting haircuts ma├▒ana!}

I was able to get in many miles of running this week. Almost twenty! I’m really dedicating my spring to improving my running time. I’ve only been running seriously for about four years. I’ve yet to get under a ten minute mile, but I’ve come a long way since my old twenty minute record!

{Ranger loves running with me. He’s only six and ran about a half a mile.}

My older son, nine year old Anthony, started spring break with pneumonia. He has recovered quickly, but it’s not his first bout with the junk. It’s actually his third time this school year! The doctors have done every test imaginable. He has never been sick before this crazy year, so it was quite a nightmare for him to be SO sick so suddenly. We are praying that this is the final time we have to deal with it, and my sweet boy can enjoy himself!

 { Anthony : He’s too cool to be sick!}

My three oldest girls will all be making huge transitions this summer. My oldest, Kyla, will be graduating high school. I cannot begin to convey to you the deep anxiety that I have about her leaving for college. I literally burst into tears when I think of her. She has been with me since I was eighteen. I cannot fathom not hearing her footsteps or voice in our home every day.

 {Kyla, my oldest, takes the best selfies!}

My second daughter, Leah, will be starting high school. She wants to be a beautician. It seems as though she has grown up too fast, it was just yesterday I was gazing into her beautiful baby face. She has great style and makes me laugh!

 {My little Leah, she’s so smart and she does my hair!}

Last but definitely not least, my sweet JoEllen will be starting middle school. She is such a sweet helper with a good heart. She loves to read and wants to be a detective.

 {JoEllen and her beautiful smile. She’s a faithfull girl.}

My husband Anthony and I celebrated our twentieth dating anniversary on St. Patrick’s Day. We actually met that day and began dating. I believe it was divine intervention, not luck! čŹÇ

Has spring break started in your community?  How will/did you spend yours?

Spring Weather

Spring Weather

I love the seasons in Kansas. It’s part of the reason we moved here in the first place. ´╗┐

´╗┐  {My sweet boys…they worked hard on their snow people.}

It was a bitterly cold February, one filled with inches of snow and below zero wind chills. Although it was still sometimes sunny, I was indoors quite a bit this winter. Today, however, is soooo beautiful!

´╗┐´╗┐{View from my side door}

It’s 73 degrees!!! This morning, little Georgia and I went to Mass. Thank goodness for the cry room. She’s fifteen months old and all that jazz. She will not sit still. She wants to climb over, under, and around the pews. It’s not so bad since on weekdays like today I usually have the cry room to myself, but on any given Sunday it takes help from everyone in the family to keep her wrangled. ´╗┐

´╗┐{Miss Georgia sporting her zebra print at Mass this morning}

I can report that she is very quiet during Holy Communion. She likes to look around and she always gets a pat on the head from our parish priest.

We are definitely hitting the park after school today! I can’t wait to get out there and soak up the sun! What are you doing in your beautiful life today?
