A Bittersweet Spring

A Bittersweet Spring

It was a lovely but slightly stressed spring break at the Reep household. Although it passed quickly, the days were mostly sunny and we played outside everyday.

{Georgia joined me for a run. She loves it and sometimes falls asleep.}

   {Ranger and his ladybug. He played with her the whole time we were at the park. Oh and we are getting haircuts mañana!}

I was able to get in many miles of running this week. Almost twenty! I’m really dedicating my spring to improving my running time. I’ve only been running seriously for about four years. I’ve yet to get under a ten minute mile, but I’ve come a long way since my old twenty minute record!

{Ranger loves running with me. He’s only six and ran about a half a mile.}

My older son, nine year old Anthony, started spring break with pneumonia. He has recovered quickly, but it’s not his first bout with the junk. It’s actually his third time this school year! The doctors have done every test imaginable. He has never been sick before this crazy year, so it was quite a nightmare for him to be SO sick so suddenly. We are praying that this is the final time we have to deal with it, and my sweet boy can enjoy himself!

 { Anthony : He’s too cool to be sick!}

My three oldest girls will all be making huge transitions this summer. My oldest, Kyla, will be graduating high school. I cannot begin to convey to you the deep anxiety that I have about her leaving for college. I literally burst into tears when I think of her. She has been with me since I was eighteen. I cannot fathom not hearing her footsteps or voice in our home every day.

 {Kyla, my oldest, takes the best selfies!}

My second daughter, Leah, will be starting high school. She wants to be a beautician. It seems as though she has grown up too fast, it was just yesterday I was gazing into her beautiful baby face. She has great style and makes me laugh!

 {My little Leah, she’s so smart and she does my hair!}

Last but definitely not least, my sweet JoEllen will be starting middle school. She is such a sweet helper with a good heart. She loves to read and wants to be a detective.

 {JoEllen and her beautiful smile. She’s a faithfull girl.}

My husband Anthony and I celebrated our twentieth dating anniversary on St. Patrick’s Day. We actually met that day and began dating. I believe it was divine intervention, not luck! 🍀

Has spring break started in your community?  How will/did you spend yours?

Blessings…
